Welcome to The Plot Café
A GOOD FOOD CONSPIRACY
Let us introduce ourselves
The name ‘The Plot’ originates from its roots in a local allotment plot, as well as its subversive mission to bring veggie-centred food to the mainstream. Georgia & Ivan have spent years home-growing seasonal fresh produce, pulling veggies straight from the rich earth and serving them as annual treats to savour. The philosophy of using seasonally based dishes and sourcing ingredients with a good conscience to the environment has inspired most of the menu you’ll find at The Plot Café – a ‘good food conspiracy’.
The Plot springs up in many locations – a dynamic pop-up café with street food vendor capability. As well as the café, The Plot offers a custom catering service (details below) to bring delicious and environmentally aware foods to any event.
Come and take a load off…
The Plot Café can be found at Black Dyke Mills Heritage Venue in Queensbury, Bradford, on Saturdays and during special events – check our website for dates and times.
Come One, Come All…
As the name suggests, Black Dyke Mills is a refurbished wool mill with large open floor spaces and a ‘no frills’, rough & ready style that retains features from its industrial past. Now reinvented as a community-based environment, the Heritage Venue hosts a number of events on a regular basis, with The Plot lending a helping hand to build a welcoming hub for visitors to relax and unwind. Children are welcome and have space to play, whilst you sit back, take a breather, and enjoy some delicious food & drink!
The culinary queen behind the mouthwatering offerings on The Plot’s menu, Georgia is also the owner of The Plot Café. A qualified chef and an experienced baker, Georgia mixes the experimental world flavours of her youth with traditional favourites to celebrate veggie cuisine.
Always on hand to save the day, Ivan brings a plethora of handy skills and creative vision to The Plot. Just as comfortable with a hammer and band saw as he is with mixing and wiring the sound system, he also tends and grows some of the ingredients at The Plot allotment.
When he’s not photographing and designing as a freelancer, Tom can be found grinding the rich coffee beans and scooping aromatic teas into pots to refresh our visitors. He’s also a dab hand at speed washing-up!
